I have been so fortunate to be able to pursue my passion and do something I truly love. I approach my photography with an inquisitive eye and a sense of fun. I like to start with a simple setting that allows the individual’s unique personality to shine, or highlights the special interactions between family & friends.
Whether capturing the wonder of childhood, the special bonds of families, or promoting a business image or special event, I invite you to share in my vision of creating unforgettable images that show those fleeting moments we want to remember always.
Publications
My first book, titled "Queen of the Night: A Rare Beauty", includes my photographs of this elusive flower taken over several seasons, chronicling its life cycle.
I've learned so much about my community and beyond, by being curious and wanting to share the stories I discover. Several of my articles and accompanying photographs highlighting local artists, elders and more have been published in DesertLeaf. They are available here:
Giving Back
I believe in giving back to my community by volunteering my time and talent to a variety of worthy causes:
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org) is a non-profit organization that offers the gift of remembrance photography to those experiencing early infant loss. I have been involved as a volunteer photographer for over 10 years and have taken on the role of the Area Coordinator for Tucson.
Tohono Chul (www.tohonochul.org) - as a volunteer at this wonderful botanical garden in Tucson, AZ, I have taught photography classes and provided tips to visitors during "Bloom Night". My images have been featured in several of the Art Gallery exhibitions and in the gift shops.
All Soul's Procession Media Circle (https://allsoulsprocession.org) is a group of photographers and videographers who document the annual All Soul's Procession in Tucson, AZ. This event allows us to grieve, honor and celebrate those who have passed.
